Indiana Pacers Swat the New Orleans Hornets in Overtime
On Tuesday night, the Indiana Pacers scored a season-high 117 points against the New Orleans Hornets. The game went into overtime, with Indiana jumping out to a 10-0 lead in the extra quarter. The Pacers would eventually win the game by a score of 117-108, marking their third win in a row.
The Pacers fought to get their 20th win of the season, but trailed throughout the game’s first half. New Orleans started the game on a 13-4 run, shooting a perfect six-of-six from the floor. The Hornets shot 70% from the field in the first half of the game, but finished the game shooting less than 54 % from the floor.
The Hornets led the game until 9:15 in the third quarter, when Indiana took a 61-59 lead. The game had six lead changes and 12 ties after that, which culminated to a season-high 117-108 win for the Pacers.
NBA All-Star, Roy Hibbert, had a career-high 30 points on the night. The Pacers had six players score in double figures, and have won three games in a row. Indiana travels to Charlotte on Wednesday, to face the Bobcats for the second time in four days. The Pacers beat the Bobcats last Sunday, 108-73.
