Roy Hibbert makes NBA All-Star Debut
The 2012 NBA All-Star weekend finished up with the Eastern Conference All-Stars falling short of a twenty-point comeback attempt versus the Western Conference All-Star team. The West led the entire way, holding off a late surge by the East All-Stars, and eventually winning by a score of 152-149.
Indiana Pacer, Roy Hibbert, was named to the Eastern Conference A team for the first time in his career. Coming off of the bench behind Dwight Howard, Hibbert didn’t see much playing time. Orlando’s Howard led the NBA in All-Star voting, and was the unofficial host of the weekend. In ten minutes of play, Hibbert shot 1-3, and had a total of three points. Hibbert also added three rebounds and one assist to his All-Star game debut.
Kevin Durant was named MVP of the All-Star game. Durant led the West with 36 points and seven rebounds. Lebron James had 36 points as well, to lead the East.
