Milwaukee Bucks Lose to Indiana Pacers in a NBA Playoffs Atmosphere
The last time the Indiana Pacers met up with the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana came out with a 21-point win. In Wisconsin on Saturday night, Indiana defeated Milwaukee 105-99, in a much closer match-up. With Eastern Conference playoff implications abound, this game would mean a lot to both teams.
Indiana (38-22) is currently a season-high 16 games over .500, and have clinched a winning record on the road for the first time since 2004. The Pacers have won four games in a row, which is currently the longest win streak in the NBA. Indiana is 8-1 in April, which is the best record in the NBA for this month.
The Pacers continued to spread the ball around, with seven different players scoring in double digits. NBA All-Star center Roy Hibbert scored a game-high 23 points, and also pulled down a game-leading 14 rebounds. The Pacers grabbed 54 total rebounds for the game. The Bucks had 43 total rebounds, but no single player totaled more than eight for the game.
Both teams were coming into their match-up Saturday night on the second game of a back-to-back stretch. Indiana clinched a playoff berth with a win at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. The Bucks broke a two-game losing streak, by defeating the Detroit Pistons. Every game is crucial for Milwaukee, who is fighting for the final seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race. With the loss, the Bucks (29-31) are currently in the ninth spot, and are on the outside looking in. Milwaukee is two games behind the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks.
