On January 11, 2012 Ryan Grigson was hired as general manager for the Indinapolis Colts and had one job to do; fix the problems with the Indianapolis Colts. Some wondered what this meant for head Coach Jim Caldwell and 35-year-old Peyton Manning. On Tuesday, January 16, the answer to one question came.  Jim Cadwell was fired following a 2-14 season. Many anticipated this change would happen and some thought this had to happen for more reasons than just football. The bottom line is the NFL is a business and the idea of a bussiness is to make money and the way to do that is keeping the clients happy. The change at head coach needed to happen to excite the fan base, and keep them interested in the Colts as much as they were just a few years ago.

Jim Irsay has not been shy about his plans to fix the wrongs in Indianapolis, and he starting to execute those plans. He has mentioned on more than one occasion the organization needs to start fresh. First it was the Polians and as of late Caldwell. What is next for the Colts, there are many questions to be answered and with the new change anticipate many more changes to come.

This change begs the question, what will Colts do with Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Jeff Saturday, and Peyton Manning? These players were the foundation of this offense, an offense that just a year ago went 10-6 with a playoff appearance. With Caldwell gone that means the Colts will bring in a new coach with a new system. Will it benefit the Colts and Manning for a 35-year-old quarterback to learn a brand new system? Have we seen the last of Manning in a Colts uniform.

One thing is for sure the changes that Irsay spoke of are happening and with the number one pick it is more certain than not that Luck will be picked giving Manning a new home and a new uniform.
