With Irsay Behind the Decision Making For The Colts, You Better Have Your Popcorn ready!
The Colts have not been shy about making changes in Indianapolis that no one is safe. As a fan all you can do is sit, wait and see what happens next.
With all these changes you have to sit and wonder who is making them? Jim Irsay hired a new GM, and has fired most of the coaches from the Caldwell staff. Was this team that bad from top to bottom? If they keep this up, bringing new players and coaches in everyone will need a name tag on the first day of work. This is ridiculous, so many changes to a team that had one bad year. Is it fair to say that Jim Caldwell never even had a fair shot? When Caldwell was hired in 2009, there were quite a few people that not pleased. They thought it was a safe pick because he was on the staff with Tony Dungy so they tried to keep the same kind of staff and players together. Caldwell had one losing season and fired the following season, was that a fair shot? Perhaps the Colts looking for a reason to get him out of town.
Jim Irsay has no problem throwing his weight around and lately it has showed. He has fired almost all the coaches, and now the rumor is all free agents from the Colts will be released. Does Irsay realize that the Colts made the playoffs last year? How is Peyten Manning going to win any games if he were to lose the team he has played the last four seasons.
All signs are pointing to the release or trade of Manning. The new general manager Ryan Grigson has been on the job a week. He hasn’t even met Peyton Manning, which shows a lack of respect to him and what he brings to these Colts. If the reports are true, Irsay will release most of the free agents, bring in a new general manager, and a new coaching staff. If he does all of that he’ll be starting completely fresh with a rookie quarterback starting for him next season.
Are Jim Irsay and Mark Cuban brothers? They are sure acting very similar. Did Irsay fire the Polians just so he can have a clean conscious releasing players and coaches? He seems like a guy making decisions a little hastily.
