The cuts continue for the Colts. In total, Indianapolis has parted ways with eight assistant coaches. More coaches from the Jim Caldwell camp were released on Thursday.

Coaching assistant Devin Fitzsimmons, defensive coaching assistant Rod Perry, defensive line coach John Teerlinck, defensive assistant Bill Teerlinck, and quarterbacks coach, Ron Turner have all been relieved of duty.

Defensive coordinator Mike Murphy has retired after 14 seasons with the Colts. Murphy was promoted from linebackers coach during the regular season, after Indianapolis released Larry Coyer.

With new managment comes new coaches, so it would seem that even more layoffs would occur in the coming days. The Colts hired Ryan Grigson as their new general manager last week, and have been clearing out the coaching staff ever since.
