The Jaguars have brought in another player they feel can contribute on defense.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Jaguars signed defensive end/linebacker Matt Roth to a one-year deal.
Roth started his career as a defensive end where he was considered a disappointment, but he has had his best years in the NFL more recently since he was moved to outside linebacker. Roth had the best season of his seven-year career last year with the Cleveland Browns when he recorded 86 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks.
It is unclear whether the Jaguars plan on using Roth as a defensive end or whether they brought him in for depth at linebacker.
