Somebody in the national media finally did their homework and dug beneath the surface to identify the teams with a real chance of being relocated to Los Angeles and to the surprise of everybody outside of Jacksonville the Jaguars are not mentioned.

Arash Markazi, who is covering the relocation story for ESPN Los Angeles, did not include the Jaguars on his list of the four teams that are candidates for relocation.

The main factor for all the teams considering relocation is not ticket sales, but it is stadium issues. An issue the Jaguars do not have.

When questioned as to why the Jaguars were not a candidate to move to Los Angeles Markazi tweeted:

“Jaguars aren’t in the running to move to L.A. Lease runs through 2029, is almost impossible to break & Weaver isn’t looking to sell or move.”

While most people in the national media who are only casually following this story would put the Jaguars on the top of their list of candidates for relocation, the one reporter whose job it is to follow this story does not even consider them a candidate.

So relax Jaguars fans, despite the fact that we may be the favorite whipping boy of the national media, the Jaguars future is in Jacksonville and nowhere else.
