The Jaguars snatched defeat from the jaws of victory again on Sunday.

This week it was a few poor plays on special teams and the inability of the offense to get on the same page during the 2-minute drill. The 30-20 loss to the Bengals drops the Jaguars to 1-4 on the season with tough games against the Steelers, Ravens and Texans before the bye week.

The two big losers on Sunday for the Jaguars are head coach Jack Del Rio and punter Matt Turk. Del Rio cannot figure out the right buttons to push to get his team back on track, but if he can’t figure it out soon he may be on his way out as soon as the Jaguars hit their bye week in November. Turk on the other hand may not be with the team for much longer. After another poor performance that saw him shank some punts in key situations, the Jaguars could spend the next couple of days looking for a new punter.

Del Rio looked like a defeated man in his post game press conference as he accepted blame for the performance of his team calling it “unacceptable.”

The bottom line is that if things don’t get better in Jacksonville, heads could start to roll before too long.

One Rant to “Jaguars Fall To Bengals At Home”

  1. Ron Mexico says:

What about the inability to get the ball into the endzone twice inside the Bengals 5 yard line? To me that is where the Jags lost the game.

    Also Matt Turk sucks.
