NFL Draft: 2013 OG Prospects
This is a really deep and solid group of offensive guards. You hardly see this many prospects from this position projected to go in the first round. Larry Warford, who enters the season as the #4 ranked guard, would be a top of the list in other years.
Teams will fall in love with Barrett Jones versatility, as he can play any spot along the line. His teammate Chance Warmack, will be another high pick, and could easily find himself going in the middle of round 1.
These rankings are extremely fluid, especially this early in the season and will change constantly throughout the process. Juniors will be added as they begin to declare for the draft.

1. Barrett Jones, Alabama, 6’4 305: Top 20 Pick
-Graded slightly below David DeCastro from last season as an OG. Jones has one thing that most Offensive line scouts don’t have, the ability to play anywhere on the line. Won the Outland Trophy last season as LT, but will move to C this season, but projects as a Top 15-20 selection as a Guard. What makes him so good is his technique and intelligence. Both of the traits are some of the best I’ve seen from an OL prospect in recent years.
2. Chance Warmack, Alabama, 6’3 320: 1st Round
-Warmack is very powerful, especially in his lower half, and displays violent hands. He plays with a mean streak and will drive defenders off your TV screen. Warmack is very refined in his technique and won’t look at out of place. Could have been a Top 50 pick last season and will only get better as the season goes on.
3. Jonathan Cooper, North Carolina, 6’3 310: 1st Round
-Cooper is an extremely athletic guard who doesn’t give much ground to opposing defenders. Has a nice combination of speed and strength and puts them on display on a constant basis. Team will love his motor and ability to dominate on every play. He has faced top competition in practice from North Carolina defenders and should be a starter from the day he gets picked.
4. Larry Warford, Kentucky, 6’3 336; 2nd Round
-Any other year, Warford would be a top two guard prospect. A seasoned veteran who dominates in the run game and holds his own in pass protection. Shows good agility and moves well in space. Changes direction well given his size. Warford should hear his name called early on day 2.
5. Braden Hansen, BYU, 6’5 308: 3rd Round
-Very good size prospect who does everything well, but not elite in any specific category. Very consistent and once you put on the tape you know exactly what kind of player your getting – hard working, sound, and strength. Solid in both the run game and pass game.
6. Omeregie Uzzi, Georgia Tech, 6’3 305; 4th Round
7. Chris Jacobson, Pitt, 6’2 295: 4th Round
8. Lane Taylor, Oklahoma State, 6’2 312: 4th – 5th Round
9. Blaize Foltz, TCU, 6’4 310: 5th Round
