In the final list of injury updates for today’s Vikings-Lions game, WR Percy Harvin (Prob., Illness) is suiting up for the game, and Lions DT Nick Fairley is listed as inactive once again as he continues to recover from a foot injury.
The Vikings should be healthy on all fronts, and they also add DT Kevin Williams back into the fold for today’s game. This will still be a stout test from the 2-0 Lions, but injuries will not play a significant factor for Minnesota.
As kick-off approaches, we continue to keep a close eye on the passing games for both teams. If the Lions can force Minnesota to stay on the ground, they will make them one-dimensional and easy to defend as the game wears on. If the Vikings can contain Stafford’s receiving options, then this should be a pretty close game. If the passing games favor the Lions (they pass for big yardage and stop McNabb), then this game could get out of hand quickly.
