Wanderlei Silva and Don Frye were famous in Pride for different reasons. Wandy was the 205 pound champion for 6 years, brutally beating his way to a Hall of Fame worthy career. He left Rampage Jackson helpless on the ropes, stomped Yuki Kondo’s head into a different dimension, and generally looked like a champion. Frye never came close to winning a belt, but was renown for his toughness. He never quit in fights against the likes of Mark Coleman, Ken Shamrock, or Gilbert Yvel despite taking ridiculous beatings.
Don Frye met Silva for the 1st time when they were going to shoot a movie:
Hilarious. Never heard that story.
