A great bantamweight fight has been booked for UFC 170 between Alexis Davis and Jessica Eye. Both have looked phenomenal as of late, and they will be fighting for a chance to fight for the belt, whether that’s against Ronda Rousey or Sara McMann. Rousey and McMann will square off for the belt on the same card, so UFC 170 is shaping up to be a fantastic card.

Davis comes into this bout off a dominant win over Liz Carmouche. In the bout, Davis was able to control Carmouche on the ground for much of the round, which is surprising because Carmouche is one of the strongest fighters in the division. Davis has won four straight, and she’s one of the best Jiu Jitsu practitioners in the division.

Eye comes into this bout off a closely contested bout with Sarah Kaufman. She ended up winning a split decision, but it was one of her biggest wins to date. In the bout, she showed great stand up skills, and she seemed to pressure Kaufman a lot. Eye is currently on an eight-fight winning streak, and she is a very well-rounded fighter. She will be looking to keep her momentum going when she takes on Davis.

Both of these fighters are some of the best in the bantamweight division, and the stakes could not be higher for either. A sterling performance almost guarantees a title shot, and they have a chance to make a statement in the division. It all goes down at UFC 170, which takes place in February.
