Pros

Physical Ability: Mikhail Grigorenko has the physical ability to succeed in the NHL.

Durability: Durability is not really an issue for Mikhail Grigorenko. Grigorenko is one of the most durable players in this draft.

Size: Mikhail Grigorenko is 6 foot 2 190 pounds.  He has the upside to bulk up as a player.

Offensive Awareness: Mikhail Grigorenko has outstanding offensive awareness.  Grigorenko has the offensive awareness to multi task on the ice.

Learning Rate: Its obvious that Mikhail Grigorenko has a very fast learning rate.  Grigorenko has managed to adapt from playing overseas in Moscow to making the adjustment to Canada in North America in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Hockey IQ: Mikhail Grigorenko has outstanding field vision and play recognition skills to succeed in the NHL.

Intangibles: Mikhail Grigorenko has the ability to perform multiple tasks on the ice.  Girgorenko has the intangibles of a gym rat off the ice.  Grigorenko is also very effective at multi tasking his offensive skill set.

Shooting Power: Mikhail Grigorenko has outstanding shooting power when unleashing slap shots and wrist shots.

Shooting Accuracy: Grigorenko has the pinpoint shooting accuracy that Yakupov displays when shooting slap shots and wrist shots.

Playmaker: Grigorenko can be an effective playmaker at the center position.

Sniper: Grigorenko has the ability to shoot the puck very effectively.  Grigorenko has the skill set to execute a slap shot or a wrist shot.

My thoughts on Mikhail Grigorenko

Mikhail Grigorenko is considered as a top 5 lock and likely the clear cut #2 overall prospect behind Nail Yakupov.  Grigorenko has the best chance of any prospect in the 2012 NHL Draft of knocking off Yakupov as the top prospect.
