Chicago Bears Offseason Outlook

The Chicago Bears got off to a 2-3 start.  Chicago would go on to win 5 consecutive games with a team that many wrote off after a shaky beginning to a 2011-2012 campaign.  Chicago was 7-3 after 10 games looking like a potential NFC Wild card.  You have to give Bears head coach Lovie Smith credit for keeping this Bears team poised after a rocky start with 3 early losses to the New Orleans Saints, the Green Bay Packers, and the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.

Chicago was right in the thick of the NFC playoff race before key injuries to quarterback Jay Cutler and running back Matt Forte.  Then Chicago would only win 1 out of 6 to end the season.

Chicago Bears 2011-2012 record 8-8

Chicago Bears 2012 Current Projected Salary Cap Room $3.5 million.
