Los Angeles Lakers Guard Kobe Bryant Has Every Right to Use Twitter During Game

(Richard Mackson/USA Today Sports)

The Los Angeles Lakers looked like they were capable at times of pulling off the upset in Game 1 of the 2013 NBA playoffs on Sunday, but the San Antonio Spurs were simply too much for this team to handle at the end of the day as they fell 91-79. Even though he wasn’t playing, one of the most popular topics from Sunday’s game involved Kobe Bryant and how he was sending out tweets throughout the game since he couldn’t be at the game since he’s trying to recover from his torn Achilles injury.

Say what you want about Bryant being active on Twitter throughout the game, but the truth is everybody is making a bigger deal out of this than they need to be as the guard wasn’t doing anything wrong. If anything, Bryant’s tweets during the game provided fans with extra entertainment that they didn’t expect to see.

Who cares if Bryant expresses his opinion during the game? If anything, Bryant’s tweets proved once again just how knowledgable he is when it comes to the game of basketball and fans were even joking around that he would be a better head coach at the moment than Mike D’Antoni.

It’s no secret Bryant would do anything possible to be playing at the moment and watching his teammates play when he can’t be out there has to be one of the most frustrating things in the world. Everybody who thinks Bryant posting messages on Twitter during the game needs to relax–the man is just having fun and he has every right in the world as the leader of this team to speak his mind.
