NBA Playoffs: Kobe Bryant Not Live Tweeting Games Sucks

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers may have lost game one of the NBA Playoffs to the San Antonio Spurs, but even if you aren’t a Laker fan, we all won something. Kobe Bryant has become one of the best — if not the best — tweeters on the interwebs, sorry Amanda Bynes.

A great tweet. Kobe is really getting a hang of this Twitter stuff, and thankfully he hashtagged #realtalk, because if he didn’t I would have no idea if he was being serious! I want Kobe to live tweet everything. Hey Kobe, what did you think of the Game of Thrones last week? Daenerys Targayen is a babe huh? Especially with those dragons. I bet he’d tweet something awesome like – “Hey @Lakers, sign those dragons for when I come back. Anyone that tries defending me will get #fried #mambatweetsGoT”. No doubt in my mind #mambatweetsGoT would be trending worldwide in about .2 nanoseconds.

Kobe tweeting and giving his insider perspective to a game that is happening in real time is an invaluable tool for someone that wants to know what one of the greatest players ever thinks and how he’s reacting to a team that he obviously cares about. To see the fire that still burns knowing he wishes he could be out there with his brothers is an amazing contribution to an already fun experience. Kobe has a unique personality and view and it really makes you wish injured players would have more of a presence on Twitter.

Of course, it’s a huge distraction, but who cares? It’s awesome.

Kobe loves Twitter so much he’s even giving yours truly a shout out, Thanks Kobe! I luv you too. #Lance4RedMamba.

Honestly, nothing could ruin this for me. I am so looking forward to Game 2 versus the Spurs. Even if they lose, just reading Kobe’s tweets will be the highlight. Seriously, nothing could ruin this.

WAIT, WHAT?! No, Kobe, NOOOOOOOOOO (Darth Vader Voice)!!!!

Not only did Kobe decide against tweeting, he mentioned George Lopez?! That guy is the worst.

I feel bipolar, not only did I have the high of Kobe tweeting greatness and a shout out from the Black Mamba to the low of Bryant not live tweeting Game 2 and mentioning my enemy, George Lopez. Ugh, I know how you feel Bradley Cooper from “Silver Linings Playbook”! The only solace I can take from this is if Kobe actually does live tweet Game of Thrones #mambatweetsGoT.

Kobe, I beg you to reconsider. Give us fans something to look forward to before the Lakers get swept by the Spurs. At least take a Vine of you chillin’, watching the Laker game in your Pau jersey with Laker face paint. I’d re-vine (?) that!
