Look For Wisconsin Badgers’ Ben Brust To Have A Big Year

The Wisconsin Badgers are one of the few teams in the Big Ten not losing a lot of talent for the 2013-14 college basketball season. Plenty of players will be back, which includes leading scorer Ben Brust. Look for him to a have big year.

Brust stands at 6’1” and managed to average 5.1 boards per game last season. He also put up 11.1 points per game and 2.3 assists per game.

Brust is a very accurate shooter and his 42.4 percent shooting from the field and 38.9 percent shooting from behind the arc proves that. His 79 threes on the season, of course, led the team and that should be the same case in the upcoming one.

Brust will have a lot of talent around him and many people are raving about sophomore Sam Dekker. Dekker definitely has the skill set to lead this team, but people cannot forget the fact that Brust was the leading scorer this past year–yes, that is an actual fact.

The Badgers are coming off of a season where they finished two games back in the Big Ten standings and they will easily have a good enough team to challenge for a conference title once again. For that to happen, Wisconsin will have to fight off very talented Michigan State and Ohio State teams.

However, Michigan and Iowa will also have very good teams, among other teams in the conference.

Wisconsin is a defensive team and it will rely on that theme all season long, but people can still expect Brust to have a big year for the Badgers.
