One Matchup That Needs To Happen For Arizona Wildcats In Upcoming Season

The Arizona Wildcats will have a very tough non-conference schedule in the upcoming season. However, what is the one matchup that needs to happen and likely could?

There is a chance that the Wildcats will collide with the Duke Blue Devils in the NIT Season Tip-Off. If that is in fact the case, the two should be ranked in the top 10 and the winner could be ranked No. 1 overall once the new rankings come out.

What a regular season game that would be. Duke will be led by Jabari Parker, who is the No. 2 ranked recruit in the class of 2013 (according to ESPN). The team loses some great players, but like most coached Blue Devils teams, they will be good enough to win the ACC and the national championship. That is pretty much a yearly thing for this team.

The Wildcats are on the rise in college hoops once again and Sean Miller has done a great job at recruiting over the years. The same can be said for his 2013 recruiting class, which features a couple of five-stars. Nick Johnson is the returning leading scorer and he will play a huge role for this team in the 2013-14 season.

Whether the case, this is a game that I am sure any college basketball fan would love to see. The good thing is that it should actually happen.

Whoever wins that game would have some serious bragging rights, but I am more interested in the matchups that the contest would actually provide and watching some NCAA tournament like basketball well before March.
