The Sooners have been one of the more consistent teams in the Big 12 this season. The team will be heading into the NCAA Tournament as a four or five seed, but the team still has room for improvement. Here are five adjustments they must make before the start of the NCAA Tournament.

The Sooners are not terrible on the defensive end, but sometimes, the Sooners cannot stop opposing teams. The Sooners let up many open shots, which is something that cannot happen in the NCAA Tournament.

4. Must Pass the Ball More

The Sooners have many offensive possessions where the ball does not go anywhere, this needs to change. The team needs to swing the basketball more and find the open man on the floor.

3. The Bench Must Play Better

The Sooners rely way to much on their starting lineup, and if any of their players get in foul trouble, then the Sooners would be in deep trouble. The team needs to have a more reliable bench, which is something that have struggled with all season long.

2. Better Shot Selection

The Sooners can really shoot the basketball, but they tend to settle for long jumpshots early in each possession. The team needs to have better shot selection, especially from Buddy Hield. He has been sensational all season, but sometimes he takes some bad shots from the floor.

The Sooners blew a huge lead against Iowa State on Monday, and this is something that cannot happen in the NCAA Tournament. Oklahoma needs to learn how to hold onto leads because if they blow a lead in the tournament, their season will be over.
