Bold Predictions For No. 3 Oklahoma vs. No. 11 Dayton

The Dayton Flyers are trying to make a run in the NCAA tournament again. With that said, the Flyers will have to go up against a very solid team in the Oklahoma Sooners. The winner will advance to the Sweet 16.

Check out these five bold predictions before this round of 32 matchup goes down.

5. Jordan Sibert Continues To Hit Big Shots

Jordan Sibert seems to thrive when everything is on the line. Well, everything will be on the line in this game, and Sibert making a key three-pointer or two against Oklahoma wouldn't be the biggest surprise ever.

4. Buddy Hield Has A Good, But Not Great Game

4. Buddy Hield Has A Good, But Not Great Game

Buddy Hield is one of the best players in this tournament. He had 15 points in the round of 64, which was less than his season average (17.5 PPG). Containing Hield for an entire game would be quite the feat. Regardless, I expect Hield to have a good, but not great game. Some of that will definitely have to do with Dayton's defense, which only allowed 53 points last contest.

3. TaShawn Thomas Leads Oklahoma In Scoring

TaShawn Thomas had himself a game in the round of 32 (18 points, five rebounds). The 6-foot-8 forward will be a tough guard for the Flyers, which could lead to him having another great performance. However, another 18 points may be asking for a lot. At the same time, Hield puts the ball in the hoop at a high rate, so 16-18 points may have to happen for Thomas if this prediction is going to happen.

Maybe this one should be the closest team to 70? If Dayton is going to continue its Cinderella run, it has to continue to be stingy on the defensive side of the ball. The Flyers only allowed 55 points against Boise State in the play-in game. They followed that up by limiting Providence to 53 points. For all it's worth, Oklahoma is only averaging 71.9 PPG and could only manage 69 on Albany. Dayton is averaging 68.2 PPG.

Dayton has already won two games in this tournament. Oklahoma will be the Flyers' toughest opponent yet, but they have the talent to get the job done. They also can think back to just a year ago when they made the Elite Eight. Translation: Dayton has made a run once and it can certainly do it again.

LSU's Ben Simmons Throws Down Epic Reverse Slam

While it's way too early to deem LSU's Ben Simmons the next LeBron James, he's certainly making the case for his NBA potential in college this season. On Saturday, Simmons dropped this epic reverse slam dunk all over the Oklahoma Sooners and nearly led the Tigers to a win over the No. 1 ranked team in America.
