The Colorado Buffaloes finished the 2013 season with a 4-8 record in the first season for head coach Mike Macintyre. The win total equaled the amount from the previous two seasons. The Buffs are in the process of turning a major corner with the 10th-youngest roster in college football this season. Colorado is led by two sophomore captains, QB Sefo Liufau and LB Addison Gillam. Here's a Preview of the Colorado Buffaloes' 2014 schedule.

The Buffs and in-state rival Colorado State Rams meet for the 86th time in history. The Rocky Mountain Showdown is on neutral turf in Denver, Colorado at Sport Authority Field at Mile High. The Buffs won last year's match-up 41-27 and was the first win for CU Head Coach Mike Macintyre. The Buffs lead the series (62-21-2) all-time. Buffs QB Sefo Liufau and WR Nelson Spruce together will pick apart the CSU Rams secondary. Buffs Win (1-0)

This is the first ever meeting for the Buffs and Massachusetts Minutemen, who posted a 1-11 record last season in the Mid American conference. The Minutemen's only win last season came against Miami (OH). The Buffs offense behind QB Sefo Liufau will outmatch the Minutemen defense. Look for RB Michael Adkins II to be great against the non-conference opponent and The Buffs will have an easy game in Boston, Mass. Buffs Win (2-0)

Sept. 13th - Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Colorado Buffaloes

The Buffs welcome the Arizona State Sun Devils to Folsom Field for a rare late-night home opener. Sun Devils QB Taylor Kelly and RB DJ Foster will have too much offensive firepower for the Buffs defense to contain. This game will have a similar feeling to last year's 54-13 loss in Tempe, Arizona for the Buffs. This will be the first Pac-12 conference loss for the Buffs in the season. Buffs Loss (2-1)

Sept. 20th - Hawaii Warriors vs. Colorado Buffaloes

The Hawaii Warriors posted a 1-11 record last season and come into Boulder for the Buffs final non-conference game. This is the fourth meeting all-time for the two teams with Hawaii holding a 2-1 advantage over Colorado. Look for Buffs RB Christian Powell to have a good game running downhill against the Warrior's ninth-worst ranked total defense. Buffs Win (3-1)

Sept. 27th - Colorado Buffaloes vs. California Bears

Nov 16, 2013; Boulder, CO, USA; California Golden Bears quarterback Zach Kline (8) is tackled by Colorado Buffaloes linebacker Addison Gillam (44) in the fourth quarter at Folsom Field. The Colorado Buffaloes defeated the California Golden Bears 41-24. Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffs have their first Pac-12 conference road game against the California Bears. The two teams held the worst records in the conference, with the Bears going 1-11 in the 2013 season. The Buffs won last year's match-up 41-24 in Boulder. The Buffs will do the same this season behind their pass rush defense and will keep the Bears in the cage. Buffs Win (4-1)

Oct. 4th - Oregon State Beavers vs. Colorado Buffaloes

The Oregon State Beavers gave the Buffs their first Pac-12 conference loss 44-17 last season on the road in Corvallis, Ore. The Buffs will look for redemption this season when they host the Beavers at home. OSU QB Sean Mannion won't have his prime target from last season, former WR Brandin Cooks, who was drafted by the New Orleans Saints. The Buffs will squeak out a win with good defensive play from LB Addison Gilliam. Buffs Win (5-1)

Oct.18th - Colorado Buffaloes vs. USC Trojans

The Buffs go back on the road and face a major test against the USC Trojans. The Buffs are winless against the Trojans, going 0-8 in the series all-time. Don't look for Colorado to change their losing streak against USC. This will be a "measuring stick" game for head coach Mike Macintyre and his staff to evaluate the Buffs progress against a major opponent. Buffs Loss (5-2)

Oct. 25 - UCLA Bruins vs. Colorado Buffaloes

This is homecoming weekend for the Buffs in Boulder but the UCLA Bruins will be the ones who will be celebrating. UCLA QB Brett Hundley is one of the many talented quarterbacks in the Pac-12 conference this season and will show it against the Buffs defense. CU will keep it close and interesting but the Bruins will run away at the end. Buffs Loss (5-3)

Nov. 1st - Washington Huskies vs. Colorado Buffaloes

The Washington Huskies will visit Colorado looking to stay on track in the Pac-12 conference. Depending on if there is a brisk, cold snow storm in the Colorado mountains, the teams could be playing in winter conditions. The game could go either way but given the tremendous play of the Huskies, the Buffs still won't stop dual threat QB Cyler Miles from running all over the field. Expect the Buffs to compete but lose a close game. Buffs Loss (5-4)

Nov. 8th - Colorado Buffaloes vs. Arizona Wildcats

The Buffs start their last road trip of the 2014 season in Tucson, Arizona against the Arizona Wildcats. Colorado has a 13-3 record all-time against the Wildcats, the best record against a fellow Pac-12 team. QB Sefo Liufau will lead the Buffs to victory against the Wildcats and steal a late-season, upset win on road. With a win the Buffs will become bowl-eligible. Buff Win (6-4)

Nov. 22nd - Colorado Buffaloes vs. Oregon Ducks

The Buffs head to Eugene, Ore for the last road game of the season against Heisman candidate and Ducks QB Marcus Mariota. The Buffs have yet to post a win against the Ducks and this season won't have any change. The highly talented Ducks offense will have their will with the Buffs defense. Don't expect this to be an upset game. Buffs Loss (6-5)

Nov. 29th - Utah Utes vs. Colorado Buffaloes

The final home game of the season for the Buffs features a new rivalry with the Utah Utes. The Buffs will look good and expect to dominate their border foe on "Senior Day" in Boulder. Expect WR Nelson Spruce to have a good game along with WR D.D. Goodson. The Buffs defense will hold Utes QB Travis Wilson in check with the linebacker play of Addison Gilliam. Buffs Win (7-5)
