Bo Jackson Is Over Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston‘s road to stardom has been filled with bump after bump. Shortly after bursting onto the scene last fall, off-field incidents began to overshadow his tremendous play. Thus far, he’s remained on the field after several close calls (and a one-game ban), but if past behavior is the best indicator of future behavior, it seems likely he’ll slip up again soon.

Fellow Heisman trophy winner Bo Jackson realized this a while back and reached out to Winston with some advice. But after multiple incidents since their talk, Bo knows that he’s done with Jameis.

“I really don’t know who is giving this young man guidance. I have communicated with him and I just talked to him like I was his dad. The things that you need to do. And this was before the incident where he was (suspended) from the baseball team (for stealing crab legs). I’m the type of person, I will go out of my way to help anybody. Normally, I don’t like giving people advice if I haven’t been down that road myself. But if I give you advice on something that I know more about than you by just falling out of bed in the morning, if you can’t take that advice and learn from it, then I’ve got nothing else to do with the situation. You’re on your own,” Jackson said via NFL.com.

So if you’re a fan that’s fed with with Winston, you’re not alone. If you sometimes wonder if he’ll ever get his head on straight, you’re one of many.

Jameis Winston has given people little reason to believe he’ll turn his behavior around. But he’s to the point now where one more slip up will likely spell the end of college career, and also plummet his draft stock, costing him thousands if not millions of dollars.

Bo and everybody else seems to know that except the young star himself.
