It has been the dominating question all year long surrounding this New York Giants team. Is their franchise quarterback Eli Manning elite?

When asked by ESPN New York’s Michael Kay, Eli said he felt like he belongs in that category. His response set off a firestorm that has not subsided, even picking up more steam now that the Giants are in the Super Bowl for the second time in four years.

As expected, his head coach Tom Coughlin was asked if he felt like his QB was in that elite category, and he responded the way you would hope.

Does Tom Coughlin think Eli Manning is a Top 5 QB? "He's never been anything less than top 1 to me." #NYG

Eli certainly made his case to be an elite quarterback this season. He had 4,933 yards, 29 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

He also had six game winning drives in the fourth quarter and has a 103 quarterback rating with eight touchdowns to just one interception in three playoff games.

Eli is the definition of clutch, and his teammates will be counting on him for one more outstanding performance.
