On the eve of the Saints first game of the season, the boys of the Bayou have been picked third in the Rant Sports Network’s first annual NFL Power Rankings. Here is what the NFL editors had to say about the Saints in their preseason evaluation: 3. New Orleans Saints–They were Super Bowl champions for a reason. Now, the New Orleans Saints look to make another run for their second title in franchise history. The only two teams ahead of the Saints are the Indianapolis Colts, who were ranked number one, and the Green Bay Packers, who were picked as the second-best team in the power rankings.
