Shipley and Fanene return to practice on Wednesday for Bengals

On Wednesday, the Cincinnati Bengals received good news when wide receiver Jordan Shipley and defensive lineman Jonathan Fanene returned to practice. While Shipley missed last weekend’s game against the Buccaneers, Fanene is expected to make his regular season debut against the Falcons following the bye week. Shipley has been a reliable target for the Bengals on third downs and has been effective as a slot wide receiver. He suffered a concussion against the Browns in Week 4 after taking a nasty hit to the head from rookie safety T.J. Ward. The play resulted in a penalty against Cleveland and Ward was later fined $15,000 for the illegal hit.
