Broncos vs. Giants NFL Week 2: TV Schedule, Betting Lines, Prediction

Broncos-Giants

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

TV Schedule: Sunday, Sept. 15, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS

Stadium: MetLife Stadium

Weather: Low 51, High 70

Line: Denver (-4.5)

The Denver Broncos had one of the most impressive week one victories in recent memory. The last time they met up with the Baltimore Ravens, they were in an important playoff game that didn’t end the way Peyton Manning had hoped. Manning took out his frustration with that tough playoff loss a season ago by throwing seven touchdown passes for 462 yards and an impressive zero interceptions. The coaching staff may have been holding the run game back just a bit as Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball combined for 17 carries and 52 yards. Demaryius Thomas exploded with 161 yards and two touchdowns on five catches. Wes Welker and tight end Julius Thomas each added two scores of their own.

On the other side of things, the New York Giants failed to get their season off the ground in a week one loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Tony Romo and the Cowboys forced the Giants into six turnovers, including two from running back David Wilson that led to his benching and the signing of running back Brandon Jacobs. Eli Manning will face off against his big brother this week after throwing for 450 yards and four touchdowns in week one. Victor Cruz led all receivers with five catches for 118 yards and three touchdowns while Hakeem Nicks and Rueben Randle both added 100 yards each.

Defensively, the Broncos were solid, like always, in the week one win over the Ravens. While they allowed nearly 400 yards to Joe Flacco and Baltimore on offense, they did record four sacks, two interceptions and forced a fumble. The Giants allowed Romo and DeMarco Murray to pass and run all over them, but still found a way to rack up 147 more yards than the Cowboys. Turnovers killed the Giants in week one.

PREDICTION: Broncos 35, Giants 31
