Packers vs. Saints NFL Week 8: TV Schedule, Betting Lines, Prediction

Green Bay Packers

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Week 8 MatchupGreen Bay Packers (5-2) vs. New Orleans Saints (2-4)

TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 8:30 p.m. ET, NBC

Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Line: Even

The Green Bay Packers enter this contest with more momentum than the New Orleans Saints. There is no doubt about it. However, the Saints are a very, very good home team, which makes this a very interesting Sunday night matchup.

Green Bay has now won four games in a row. In the process, QB Aaron Rodgers has been throwing touchdowns like it is nothing, and for him, it really isn’t. Simply put, when Rodgers is on his game, the Packers are a very tough team to beat. Right now, Rodgers is on his game, which could spell doom for the Saints.

New Orleans has not looked like a Super Bowl contender so far in 2014, but it still has a great shot of making the playoffs, at least right now. The Saints are just one game back of the Carolina Panthers in the win column, which shows you how much the division has been struggling this year.

It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that New Orleans is perfect at home this season. That has not been the case on the road, though. Green Bay may be the better team on paper, and has more momentum coming in, but the Saints are simply a great home team. With that said, this is a make-or-break game for New Orleans. Unfortunately, the Packers are hot, and they are going to claim the victory on the road.

PREDICTION: Packers 31, Saints 23
