The Atlanta Falcons may have lost the Week 17 winner takes all game against Carolina, but the loss gave them the No. 8 overall pick in the draft. A win would have dropped them into the 21-24 range. It's a good thing that they have the top 10 pick, because they have a lot of holes to fill on their roster. Here is the too-early mock draft for Atlanta.

The Atlanta Falcons finished the season with just 22 sacks which tied them with Oakland for 30th in the NFL. Shane Ray had 14.5 sacks this past year for Missouri. The Falcons have to address their lack of pass rush at some point in the draft, and Ray would be a great pick in the first round.

Round 2: Ty Sambrailo, OT, Colorado State

The other big weakness for the Falcons is on the others side of the ball. Matt Ryan spent most of the season with the opposition in his face two seconds after the snap. It prevented Atlanta from utilizing the talented skill players they have. Colorado State's Ty Sambrailo should be available in the second round and would help solidify their offensive line.

Round 3: Derron Smith, FS, Fresno State

Derron Smith could have left Fresno State last year and already be playing in the NFL. He came back and had a down year mainly because of how bad his supporting cast was. The Falcons would be getting great value with Smith in the third round, and he would help sure up their porous secondary.

Round 4: Joey Mbu, DT, Houston

The majority of the Falcons' picks need to be on the defensive side of the ball. Joey Mbu would give them some much-needed size and athleticism on their defensive line. Mbu would help Atlanta's run defense, but he also has some solid pass rushing skills.

Round 5: Jarvis Harrison, OG, Texas A&M

Jarvis Harrison has been a part of several very talented Texas A&M offensive lines. He has a lot of the physical gifts needed to be a good offensive lineman and would be worth a shot in the fifth round. The Falcons could pair Harrison with his former A&M teammate, Jake Matthews.

Round 6: Tony Washington, OLB, Oregon

Tony Washington is now known as the guy who returned Jameis Winston's embarrassing fumble for a touchdown. The Oregon linebacker has been consistently making plays over the last two seasons. He could be used on special teams as well as on passing down situations. Washington had over six sacks in each of the last two seasons.

Round 7: Gerald Christian, TE, Louisville

Atlanta didn't do a great job replacing Tony Gonzalez this season, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them take a chance on a tight end in the draft. Gerald Christian is a pass catching tight end who will be available in the later rounds.
