The Chargers suffered a lot of injuries that slowed their chances at a postseason berth and sent them to the offseason early. The good news is that in the midst of all of their struggles a few gems appeared, and several players showed flashes that should make most Bolts fans excited for 2015. The following are five young players set to break out for the San Diego Chargers in 2015.

Ingram will be coming into his fourth season in 2015, and he has definitely shown flashes of big time talent. In 2014, he only appeared in nine games but had a career-high four sacks and two forced fumbles. The Chargers would like to see him healthy for an entire season; if he can do that he has the ability to produce double-digit sacks and be a leader for this defense.

Ladarius Green was everyone's breakout pick for 2014; fantasy experts saw the 300-plus receiving yards and three TDs in 2013 and thought he was destined for stardom. He fell into the background a little due to a few injuries and Antonio Gates' reemergence as a superstar, but 2015 should be a big year for Green. He has the size, speed and hands to be Philip Rivers' deep threat down the middle and could have a Pro Bowl season.

The Bolts might have set a record for number of different starting centers in 2014, but among that injury carnage emerged a little-known utility lineman in Chris Watt. Watt stepped in and was immediately a good player at center, starting several games before his own injury issues knocked him out as well. He should be the incumbent starter at the position in 2015 and can be the long-term anchor at center for the Bolts.

2. Dontrelle Inman

Inman didn't even get into the rotation as a wide receiver until Keenan Allen was injured, but in the last two games of the season the rookie recorded back-to-back 79-yard receiving games. Inman has the size and speed to be a threat for the Bolts in 2015, and if given a chance to play an entire season, he could produce big time for San diego.

Verrett only got a chance to play a handful of games in 2014 due to injury, but he made an impact as a rookie for San Diego. He's tough, evidenced by his ability to return to the game and make a game-sealing pick against the Raiders after tearing his labrum in three places. With a full offseason to recover, Verrett could be paired again with Brandon Flowers (if the Bolts re-sign him) and give the Chargers a formidable secondary in 2015.
