Top 5 Players On Kansas City Chiefs' 2015 NFL Free Agency Wish List

While the Chiefs have a lot of solid pieces in place, there are still a few needs that might be better filled through free agency rather than the draft. Here's a look at five free agents who are on the Chiefs' radar.

The Chiefs need to add some big run stuffers on the defensive line, and Alualu would be a nice one. He’s versatile enough to slide inside to defensive tackle and is durable. While he may never have justified the Jaguars taking him so early in the draft, he’s still a good player who the Chiefs could use.

Eric Berry has a long road to recovery, and he’s going into the last year of his contract. Husain Abdullah is also entering the last year of his deal. The Chiefs had Tyvon Branch in for a visit, which indicates they’re looking for a veteran free agent to sign. I think he's the best available safety with the most upside other than Devin McCourty.

Herremans is familiar with Reid from their days with the Eagles, and is versatile enough to cover both guard and tackle spots. Looking at the roster now, he would most likely be the starter at right tackle. He could be a pleasant upgrade for a few years, or be an excellent placeholder for the team to groom a draft choice.

Yeah, the Chiefs should probably double-dip on offensive line free agents. Alex Smith got smacked around a good bit last year, and I don’t know any quarterback who can play well while scraping themselves off the ground. Iupati is a plug-and-play starter and would easily help the Chiefs in that area.

Jeremy Maclin is a no-brainer, even with his expensive price tag. However, if the money is too much of an issue, Michael Crabtree is the next best option on the list. His familiarity with Alex Smith, and the fact that his best numbers were put up when Smith was giving him the ball, makes all the sense in the world for the Chiefs.
