Jameis Winston. Marcus Mariota. Those are two names that have been getting a ton of attention. The two did win the Heisman in college football and also were drafted in the first two picks of the 2015 NFL Draft. Here’s another name fans can’t forget (and won’t) entering the 2015 NFL season: Amari Cooper.

Although I have dished a plate of credit to Winston in the past, one man in particular has been buzzing about Cooper. That man is Adam Caplan of ESPN.

Cooper also has these three things going for him: (1) He was the fourth player off the board in this year’s draft. (2) He was the best WR in college football in 2014 (and played for the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide). (3) Derek Carr will be throwing him the ball.

Carr didn’t lead the Oakland Raiders to the playoffs last season, but he was also playing in his rookie year. He did, however, throw for 3,270 yards and 21 touchdowns.

As for the 6-foot-1 Cooper, he racked up 1,727 receiving yards and 16 TDs in his final season at the college level.

Quarterbacks (and even running backs) may have the advantage over WRs when it comes to Offensive Rookie of the Year since they control the offense, but Cooper seems to be in great hands. He also has the goods to break onto the scene in a big way in 2015 — and he will.
