The extent of the injury is not yet known, but it’s believed to not be career threatening. Recent reports have even indicated that the injury won’t cost Pierre-Paul any playing time heading into the 2015 NFL season after initial reports said the injury may be “severe.”
Pierre-Paul, who bragged on Instagram about having a U-Haul truck full of fireworks, is the Giants’ unsigned franchise player and one of the most athletic defensive ends in the NFL. Although it doesn’t appear that the injury will cost him any sort of playing time, it’s certainly a concerning situation for the Giants, who could rescind his $14.813 million franchise tender if the injury turns out to be more severe than expected.
Updates will be added as they become available.
