5 Bold Predictions For Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints In NFL Week 13

After taking a bite out of the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving, the 11-0 Carolina Panthers will turn their attention to their division rival New Orleans Saints. With a win, the Panthers can become the first team in the NFL to clinch a playoff spot. The Saints will be looking to put an end to their three-game losing streak. Even after firing defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, the Saints couldn’t find a way to beat the Houston Texans last week, losing 24-6. Here are five bold predictions for this crucial NFC South showdown.

5. Cam Newton Will Have 300 Yards Passing and 3 Touchdowns

The Saints possess the worst pass defense in the NFL, and the Panthers shouldn't have any problems exposing it. Look for Newton to take deep shots to Ted Ginn Jr. and Devin Funchess while working the middle with Greg Olsen and Jerricho Cotchery.

4. Mark Ingram Will Rush For 100 Yards

Ingram hasn't rushed for 100 yards since Week 7 against the Colts. If the Saints want to have any chance in this game, Sean Payton will have to rely on his running game to move the ball as the Panthers have one of the best pass defenses in the NFL and lead the league in interceptions. As great as Drew Brees is, feeding Ingram will be key for the Saints' offense.

3. Jonathan Stewart Will Rush For 100 Yards

It's not only the passing game where the Saints' defense struggles. The unit is ranked 30th in the NFL against the run and are fresh off of allowing 167 yards rushing to the Texans who have one of the worst rushing offenses in the league. Look for Stewart to have a big day.

2. Drew Brees Will Go Without Touchdown For Second Straight Game

Brees went without a passing touchdown against the Texans last week which broke a 45-game streak with at least one touchdown pass. In fact, that was only his second game in his last 101 where he didn't have at least one passing touchdown. I predict the Panthers will make it three in his last 102 games.

1. The Panthers' Defense Will Force 5 Turnovers

The Panthers' defense leads the NFL in forcing turnovers as the unit has produced 18 interceptions and 10 fumble recoveries. Playing against the Saints, who have turned the ball over 18 times this season, I expect the Panthers to have a field day in a blowout victory.

Watch Allen Announce Retirement By Riding Off Into Sunset

After 12 seasons, Carolina Panthers defensive end Jared Allen has decided to retire from the NFL. In staying true to his "Cowboy" nickname, Allen recorded this video at his ranch while on his horse and literally rode off into the sunset, although there was no sunset. Good luck in retirement, Cowboy.
