New York Jets Signing Josh McCown Won't Fix Broken QB Position

By Anthony Blake

Just a few days after Spike Lee called out his hometown team to sign controversial free agent Colin Kaepernick to play quarterback, the New York Jets went in pretty much the exact opposite direction by signing veteran journeyman Josh McCown instead.

After watching Geno Smith sign a deal with the crosstown New York Giants, the Jets have Bryce Petty, Christian Hackenberg, and now McCown on the quarterback depth chart for 2017.

As Ian Rapoport says, this deal could be just as a mentor for the young quarterbacks on the roster or even for a potential rookie the Jets select in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Regardless, there’s still a mess under center for the J-E-T-S, Jets.
