The Minnesota Wild have seemed like two different teams all season long. There were times when they were in last place in the Central Division, and other times when they were in the thick of the playoff race. They are currently hanging onto the last Wild Card spot, and they need to make some moves to keep themselves in contention.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are falling further and further down the standings. Their pieces can provide depth for a bunch of another teams. Mark Letestu can help the Wild while they wait for some of their injured forwards to return.

The Wild could use some help on an average blue line. Jan Hejda may not be able to go to a division rival, but if the Colorado Avalanche are willing to trade within their own division, then this would be a good match.

The Minnesota Wild could also use some more veteran players who have a championship pedigree. Bryce Salvador went to the Stanley Cup with Zach Parise back in 2012. However, he is recovering from injury right now, so this may be unlikely. Marek Zidlicky would be another option, since he would help their 26th ranked power play.

Cam Ward is another player who knows what it is like to play in a Stanley Cup Finals. He actually won the whole thing for the Carolina Hurricanes. He needs to get a change of scenery, as the Canes are going nowhere. The Wild could use another goalie on the roster to lean on in hard times.

Tim Gleason could come in with Cam Ward if the Wild are willing to move a few pieces. It would provide two necessary pieces for the Wild's playoff run.
