The Philadelphia Eagles and the New York football Giants clash tomorrow at 1pm in front of the Eagle’s faithful.  For me, this is a strange game.  The Vegas odds-makers have the Eagles favored for the third week in a row, laying nine points to Big Blue.

The national pundits are heavily picking the Birds to win the game.  The Giants are simply decimated with injuries and are coming off a lackluster win against the St. Louis Rams.  The Eagles lost a heart-breaker to the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday night and are eager to get back on track.

Last week, I underestimated the Falcons, especially Matt Ryan.  I knew the Eagles would put up points.  I did not think the Eagles defense would allow 35 points.  I still do believe that the Eagles defense is better than that.  It has to be.  Well, it better be.

I do not see the Giants offense scoring more than three touchdowns, unless turnover opportunities come into play.  Big Blue’s defense is solid, however, there are holes in the secondary that coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg, will explore.

Michael Vick will not play timid.  The Giants will play hard.  Andy Reid will waste timeouts.

Prediction:  Eagles win 27-20
