The Rock is very likely to miss out on wrestling at WrestleMania XXX due to a huge movie role he just landed.
Rock was interested in wrestling at WrestleMania XXX earlier this year until he got injured at WrestleMania 29. Once he got injured, Rock evaluated his options and may have wanted to rest instead. His injury has somewhat impacted on his Hollywood career because he wasn’t able to promote his movie Pain and Gain properly. Not to mention if he gets injured, he won’t be able to shoot movies either as the studio would lose a lot of money if they have to delay production.

It’s been reported that Rock landed a role in a movie called San Andreas. Sadly, this has nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto, but it is a big-budget movie. It’s about an earthquake and will be shot in 3D. The reason he’s likely to miss WrestleMania XXX is because shooting is scheduled to start in April 2014.
This is the same month for WrestleMania XXX. It’s highly unlikely New Line Cinema would allow Rock to wrestle because he could get injured like he did during his match with John Cena this year. Rock initially wanted to face Brock Lesnar at the WrestleMania XXX.
The WWE has used Rock as the main attraction for the past few WrestleMania events. It will be interesting to see what they will come up with this year now that Rock is unlikely to be there. Maybe they can bring back the likes of Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold Steve Austin to attract older fans.
