So how bad are the Dallas Cowboys? The Dallas Cowboys offensive line is horrible. QB Tony Romo really makes some bone head plays. The Washington Redskins tried their hardest to give the Dallas Cowboys the game last night, but they just didn’t want it. The Dallas Cowboys will be facing the Chicago Bears this week, so they can work on some issues, but this team has to improve if they want to be playing in January.

The Dallas Cowboys offensive line was simply horrible last night. Tony Romo was officially sacked only once last night, but he was under constant pressure, even at times when the Washington Redskins rushed three men. Who thought that Flozell Adams would be missed so much. Does Jerry Jones have San Diego Chargers GM A.J. Smith on speed dial? “Uh, A.J.? This is Jerry, what’s up with Marcus McNeil?” Did anyone really think Alex Barron was going to magically improve by simply putting on a new uniform? He cost the Cowboy’s last night’s game.

Tony Romo is a puzzling quarterback. He makes some spectacular plays but one has to wonder what goes through Tony Romo’s head from time to time. For example, last night with 4 seconds to go in the game. The Cowboys could have simply gone into the half, down 3-0 to the Redskins. Oh no. Romo makes a ridiculous pitch to Tashard Choice, who winds up losing the ball. DeAngelo Hall scoops up the loose ball and scores from 32 yards out, 10-0 Washington.

If you didn’t know the final score and just looked at the stats, you would have to think the Cowboys came away with the victory. Dallas had more first downs, more total plays, outgained the Redskins 380 yards to 250 yards. They controlled the clock 34 minutes to 26. But the Cowboys committed 12 penalties and the last one was the worst.

This is a game the Dallas Cowboys should have won. There is time to get things turned around, but something has to be done with the Cowboys offensive line.
