Report: Hines Ward Willing to Take Massive Pay Cut

According to Fox Sports, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward is willing to take a major pay cut to return to the Pittsburgh next year.  There has been some major speculation that Hines Ward was going to retire, but apparently Hines wants to play again next season and doesn’t want to leave Pittsburgh- which is incredibly understandable.

Taking a pay cut at this stage in his career makes sense as his skills are clearly diminishing. Hines Ward has been a staple for the Pittsburgh Steelers over the years, and I think he means more to the locker room than anything else. Losing him would be real tough. Hopefully they find a way to get something done.
