Tim Tebow “Laid Hands” On Brian Dawkins Injured Neck
This could possibly be the strangest story that I have ever read. Brian Dawkins, who played safety for the Denver Broncos while Tim Tebow was in town, told XM Radio that Tebow tried to heal his injured neck last season. Dawkins said Tebow and the team chaplain laid their hands on him and prayed in order to attempt to heal him.
I am officially worried that this whole “Tebow as Jesus” thing is getting a bit out of hand. I did not hear the interview that Dawkins did, so I have no idea if he was joking or not. If he was serious, that is just absurd.
I do not know if it is reassuring that Tebow didn’t end up healing his neck or not. If Tebow was able to get Dawkins back on the field, I would have probably started stockpiling goods because the world was coming to an end. The second coming would have happened in the form of a quarterback who can’t actually throw a football.
Regardless, this makes for an interesting story. You can either use it to make fun of Tebow or appreciate his Christian values as he attempted to help a teammate in need. I have no opinion on it either way because I don’t like getting attacked by either Tebow crowd.
