It may have taken longer than he would have liked, but Terrell Owens finally found a home for the 2012 season after agreeing to a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday. The deal may not be the type of money Owens normally looks for, but for a wide receiver 38 years of age heading into what could be his final season in the NFL–this works out well for both parties.

Despite all of the controversy surrounding his presence in the locker room during stints with previous teams, Owens has always had one of the best work ethics when it comes to players in the NFL and he has a chance to make an immediate impact on a Seahawks team 22nd overall in 2011. The last time Owens played in the NFL was back during the 2010 season as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals and he recorded 72 catches for 983 yards to go along with nine touchdowns–so the potential is certainly there.

If Owens can return to his form from 2010, this could end up being a steal for the Seahawks in the passing game–no matter who their quarterback ends up being. Owens is anxious to prove that he still has what it takes to be an elite wide receiver and depending on what happens in 2012–this could be his final shot at finally earning a Super Bowl.
