San Diego — The Bolts hire former Carolina Panthers secondary coach Ron Meeks. Meeks was formerly out of a job because the Panthers took former secondary and assistant head coach Steve Wilks. Meeks is coming from a Carolina secondary that ranked 24th last season in passing yards allowed. Chargers fans can only hope that was because of the lack of talent on a bad Panthers defense team, and not the coach himself. The Chargers also promoted Rich Bisaccia to assistant head coach of special teams. Bisaccia just completed his first season with the Chargers, helping the Bolts rank 6th in return yardage in the 2011 season.
