Update: Jordan Jefferson Not Directly Involved in Bar Fight
Crystal LoGiudice-US PRESSWIRE

I am a tad bit late on this, but school will do that.  Thanks to the wonderful Twitter account of Randy Rosetta, I have been able to follow the LSU case quite closely.  Many have assumed Jordan Jefferson would be in hot water with this case.  According to Rosetta, that is not the case.

TigerSportsDigest.com has been told by several sources that #LSU QB Jordan Jefferson was not directly involved in the bar fightat Shady's.

That is a lot different that what we heard earlier.  Early reports suggested Jefferson had kicked a person in the head.  If that were true, Jefferson would be facing battery charges.  Rosetta also says that this doesn’t mean Jefferson is cleared.  As for the other three involved, none of them were arrested at their Monday meeting with the police.  However, Rosetta states that this doesn’t mean charges were not filed.

After reading that, are you as confused as I am?  I hope so.  This is still a very fluid situation.  The investigation is still ongoing and more witnesses will be interviewed.  Regardless, this still doesn’t look good for LSU.  Upperclassmen must show better judgment.  Even if Jefferson and Co. were innocent bystanders, being there links them to this story.  With the first game looming, this dark cloud still hangs over the program.

As always, we will have more on this story as it becomes available.  Hopefully, it is a little easier to understand that what took place on Monday.
