Chelsea are one step away of getting into the next round of the UEFA Champions League, but in order to do that, they need to get a win when they visit FC Basel on Tuesday.

After the hot start that saw the Swiss outfit defeating the Blues in the first week of action, Basel have been unable to win another game. They need to put together their best display in front of their fans at St. Jakob Park Stadium if they want to get the three points. Their most important players in this encounter will be the duo of midfielder Marcelo Díaz and striker Mohamed Salah, as they are the ones who orchestrate the offense for the current Swiss League champions.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have been experiencing dismal results in the Premier League, but have a three-game winning streak in Europe thanks to their solid play overall. Winger Eden Hazard has been instrumental to the team’s success in recent weeks, and the Belgian international appears to be the decisive element Jose Mourinho has in his deep squad to get another crucial victory.

Prediction: FC Basel 1-2 Chelsea

Despite the fact that Basel pulled off the upset against Chelsea on the first matchday, things will change quickly on this game. The Blues will start to game on a frenetic pace and they are likely to build an early lead en route to a win that will put them in the next round of Europe’s biggest tournament.
