When Brayden Schenn was eligible to be draft in 2009, all of Toronto fell in love with the idea of having both Schenn brothers in blue and white. But the Los Angeles Kings snag Schenn with the 5th overall pick in the 09 draft, Burke was disappointed, but he was happy to snagged Nazem Kadri away from rival Ottawa Senators.

This off season Schenn was involved in a trade that sent Mike Richards to the Los Angeles Kings, while Schenn and a couple other pieces went to the Flyers.

Since now Brayden is playing in the same conference as his brother Luke, Maple Leaf fans get to enjoy watching both brothers face off against each other, 4 times this season.

Thurs, February 9th, 2012 in Philadelphia
Sat, March, 10th, 2012 in Toronto
Thurs, March 29th, 2012 in Toronto

The Maple Leafs and Flyers have back to back games against each other in the preseason as well. The first game is in Toronto tonight, while the second game is in Philly on the 21st.

It is too bad we can’t see both Schenn brothers on the same team playing together. But both are very young, thus I would not count out the possibility of this happening.
