Daniel Sedin’s OT goal lifts Canucks past Blackhawks

The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 in overtime thanks to Daniel Sedin’s overtime game winning goal. Ryan Kesler and Cody Hodgson was the other Canucks that scored. Alex Edler would also get 2 assists in the game. For the Blackhawks, Jamal Mayers and Viktor Stalberg scored. Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews returned to the lineup tonight. Sharp was injured a month ago when he suffered a broken bone in his left wrist. Toews would miss a game and the All Star Game because of an injury to the left wrist. Cory Schneider got the start tonight over Roberto Luongo. He outdueled Corey Crawford and he beat him in saves 37-30. The Canucks lead the season series 2-1 and these 2 teams will meet for the final time in the regular season on Mar. 21 in Chicago.
