Stanley Cup Finals 2013 Preview: Blackhawks vs. Bruins

Two of the last three Stanley Cup winners are ready to do battle after the Chicago Blackhawks finished off the defending champs in a Game 5 thriller. Now it’s Boston and Chicago for the biggest prize in hockey and it’s going to be a good one.

After the Hawks had to dig out of a 3-1 hole against the Detroit Red Wings in the Conference Semis, Patrick Kane reminded everyone why his team was the best this season with a hat trick to eliminate the Los Angeles Kings, but the Boston Bruins made sure we didn’t forget about them by sweeping the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Conference Finals. So basically, it’s two of hockey’s best both on and off the ice on the game’s biggest stage.

Needless to say, the Blackhawks did look vulnerable against their bitter rivals in the second round, but after roaring back to win the series and then dominating the Kings the way they did, it’s hard to bet against them. However, the Bruins have quietly gathered a ton of momentum heading into the NHL’s title series, so no decision on who to pick is easy at this point.

Will Kane go on another tear in the Finals? Will Patrice Bergeron and the Bruins be the team to break Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford? Comment below with your pick on which team will win the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals.
