CFL Gives Tim Tebow Cold Shoulder; Quarterback’s NFL Dream Now A Nightmare

More often than not, NFL players who make the trek to the Canadian Football League are doing so simply to avoid working as a car salesman. While Tim Tebow surely isn’t going to be selling Chevrolets any time soon, he is doing his best to stay away from the retirement life. Who would have thought when Tebow was defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2010 NFL Playoffs that his retirement was near?

Either way, none of the 32 NFL teams believe that Tebow is worthy of a roster spot, which is incredibly troubling for the former Heisman Trophy winner.

In addition to the NFL skeptics, the Montreal Alouettes have publicly said that they would not be giving Tebow a call anytime soon. This is actually pretty funny considering Montreal’s starting quarterback has a concussion and the team currently has Troy Smith atop it’s quarterback depth chart. Yes — the same Smith, who is seven years removed from a Heisman Trophy and has eight NFL starts under his belt.

If CFL teams are serious about giving Tebow the cold shoulder, then the ex-New York Jets‘ quarterback could easily be out of football for good. On the other hand, what if the Arena Football League calls for Tebow? Could you imagine Tebow suiting up for the LA KISS? Oh boy.
