Top 5 Most Disappointing NFL Teams After 3 Weeks

Denver Broncos Still Super Bowl Favorites Without Ryan Clady

There’s no way to sugarcoat it: Ryan Clady being lost for the season will affect the Denver Broncos because he’s one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL and Denver’s quarterback is 37 years old. However, Peyton Manning is also smart enough to work around this and get Clady’s replacement playing well enough to suffice for the remainder of the season. After all, the Broncos have been the NFL’s most dominant team through the first two weeks of play.

Again, Clady’s absence will have an effect on the Broncos’ offense, but Manning’s internal clock isn’t four seconds like the rest of the NFL’s signal-callers. No. 18 typically gets rid of the ball between two and three seconds after the snap, so unless Denver puts a blow-up doll at left tackle, Manning should be fine.

Finally, the Broncos immediately went out and signed Winston Justice after placing Clady on IR, but the team is confident in his primary backup, Chris Clark, who will start on Monday night when Denver faces the Oakland Raiders. Clark has been there with Manning in practice, so you better bet he’ll be ready to go this week and he’ll likely improve drastically throughout the season as all of Manning’s teammates seem to do.
